We had an overnight stay in Barbados en route to Jamaica from Martinique. Accommodation on the island is quite expensive. We opted for the cheapest option that was as close to the airport as possible. We found one called Knights and Queens, which is about a 10-15 minute drive away from the airport.
The people that we met were also friendly and helpful, which was nice.

Things to keep in mind!
You can actually walk there from the airport. The local taxi drivers will charge you around $20USD to go there one-way. If you have an offline maps application like maps.me, you can actually walk there in about 45 minutes or less.
The accommodation is off the main road. The main part of the business is a nursing home. The actual apartment accommodation is situated behind the nursing home.

Carry mosquito repellent, as there are quite a few mosquitos that come into the room. There are screens on the windows and the doors, but it is in your interest to use the fans and your repellent to keep the mosquitos off you as much as possible.

The accommodation is quite spacious with a large open-plan kitchen and living room. The room came with Wi-Fi and television as well.

Nearby attractions
The beach is just a few minutes walk away. Close to the accommodation are two gorgeous beaches that you can visit and swim in. Caribbean beaches have this aqua shimmer in the water.

Additionally, there are a few food bars and restaurants that you can also visit along the way. If you don’t mind the odd drink, then you might want to check out some of the local rum bars nearby.
